Vintage Sterling Silver Bolo Tie Kachina Pictorial Robert Becenti Jr Navajo
Vintage Sterling Silver Bolo Tie Kachina Pictorial Robert Becenti Jr Navajo
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
This is a magnificent vintage sterling silver bolo tie where a kachina dancer scene has been crafted with overlay, hand stamping and hand texturing techniques. The amount of detail across the scene is truly remarkable, especially in the feathers, the collar, and the tail. The bolo slide is a heavy gauge silver.
The width of the bolo slide tapers from 1 7/8" to 1 3/8". It is 3" tall.
The leathers are 4 mm thick, and are 41" long (including the silver tips, which are 2" long, each).
It weighs 62 g.
The artist's hallmark on the back is a stylized "B c t" over a pipe, indicating famed Navajo silversmith Robert Becenti, Jr. The prior owner wrote on the back of the slide that the bolo tie was made by Floyd Becenti, which is incorrect. Try as we might, we were unable to remove the handwriting.
This bolo tie was crafted in the late 1980s or early 1990s.
