Vintage Sterling Silver Turquoise Bolo Tie Light Gauge Native American Signed
Here's a perfect little bolo tie with classic features. A lighter gauge sterling silver was used for the base, upon which two perfectly matched turquoise stones were set in serrated bezels. An applique leaf along with curled silver wire provide accents. Hand stamp work along the outer edge of the slide provides final accents to the face.
The slide is 2" tall, with the width tapering slightly from 1 1/2" to 1 1/4".
The turquoise stones are variable in size, but in general are 5/16" by 3/8".
The silver tips are each 1 3/4" long.
Including the silver tips, the leather cord is 37" long. The cord is also 4 mm thick.
It weighs 27 g.
The artist's hallmark on the back is "S". Given the design and construction patterns on this bolo tie, the artist was most likely Navajo.
