Vintage Zuni Multi-stone Inlay Thunderbird Bolo Tie Turquoise B&C Shack
This is an amazing thunderbird channel inlay bolo tie with beautiful artistry. A number of different materials were used to create the bolo slide, including mother of pearl, onyx, turquoise, coral, spiny oyster shell, gold-lipped mussel shell, and other shell. The inlay section is bordered with silver twisted wire and small silver dots. The base of the bolo slide is sterling silver.
A bale is affixed to the top of the bolo slide, If the leathers are removed, the thunderbird can be worn as a pendant.
The slide is 2 1/2" wide and 2 3/8" tall.
The leathers are 32" long, and are 4 mm wide.
The bolo tips are 2" long, which will add to the overall length of the leathers.
As pictured, the bolo tie weighs 40 g.
Hand-scripted on the back is the artists' signature for beloved Zuni artisans Bobby and Corraine Shack.
