Vintage Zuni Inlay Dragonfly Ring Petite Coral MOP Size 7.75 Native American
Vintage Zuni Inlay Dragonfly Ring Petite Coral MOP Size 7.75 Native American
This is a darling little ring fashioned into the shape of a flying insect. It's sort of part dragonfly, part butterfly, part moth. We settled on dragonfly after much deliberation, but were about to label it as a "butterdragon." The artist used both mother of pearl and coral for the inlay of the body and wings. The inlay section is wonderfully done. Silver coiled antennae are also part of this piece, adding to its charm.
It is size 7.75.
The ring face is about 7/8" wide and 7/8" long.
It weighs 5.6 g.
This ring is old new stock, a piece coming from prior store inventory. Previously displayed but not sold. The former store was known in the '80s and '90s for carrying top quality Zuni inlay jewelry (many of them first editions).
