Here's a classic storyteller bolo tie from renowned Navajo silversmith Tommy Singer. The bolo slide is heavy gauge sterling silver, scalloped oval. The central section is textured and a Navajo Reservation scene was created using an overlay technique. Pictured in the story is a hogan, a wagon and a landscape.
The bolo slide is 1 5/8" wide and 2 1/8" tall.
The leathers are 4 mm thick. Including the tips, they are about 38" long.
The silver tips are each 2 1/4" long.
It weighs 36 g.
The artist's hallmark is a "T" with a crescent moon (poorly struck, or perhaps worn away), indicating Navajo artist Tommy Singer (d. 2014).
