Vintage Coral Bolo Tie Sterling Silver Leaf Applique Native American
Vintage Coral Bolo Tie Sterling Silver Leaf Applique Native American
This is a marvelous older bolo tie with three exceptional and large coral cabochons. The coral is set in smooth bezels on an oxidized (darkened) sterling silver base. An applique silver leaf (handmade), flat wire work, and silver dots complete this attractive bolo tie.
The bolo slide is 1 3/8" wide and 1 5/8" tall.
The leathers are 4 mm thick, and with the silver tips are about 39" long.
The tips are 2 1/4" long, each.
The largest of the coral cabochons is about 3/8" by 1".
It weighs 34 g.
While this bolo tie is not signed, it was very likely crafted by a Navajo silversmith given the design and construction elements. It is also likely to have been made in the 1960s or early 1970s.
