Sterling Spiny Oyster Pendant Teardrop Leaf Flower Applique Native American
Sterling Spiny Oyster Pendant Teardrop Leaf Flower Applique Native American
This is a fantastic modern pendant with some classic vintage design elements. A gorgeous teardrop-shaped spiny oyster shell cabochon is set in a smooth bezel and placed on an oxidized (darkened) base. Also joined on the darkened base are two appliqued leaves, a flower, and flat wire work, creating a partial shadowbox effect. The bale is larger than most, allowing it to be strung on your favorite chain, smaller Navajo pearls, or smaller beads.
The pendant is 1" wide and 1 1/4"tall.
From the top of the bale to the bottom of the pendant is 1 3/4".
The spiny oyster cabochon is 3/8" by 5/8".
The opening for the bale is 5/8".
It weighs 10.9 g.
The artist's hallmark is "E". While this maker is not identified, the design and construction elements would be considered traditional Navajo.
