Here's an amazing petite bolo tie from the famous Quam family. The artist used both channel and mosaic inlay techniques, along with turquoise, mother of pearl, onyx, and shell to create this beauty. Silver dots accentuate the headdress. The details in the face are hand carved.
The bolo slide is about 1 1/2" wide and 1 3/8" tall.
The leathers are 4 mm wide. With the silver tips, the leathers are 40" long.
The silver tips are 2 1/4" long, each.
It weighs 29 g.
The artist's hallmark is hand-etched "G Quam", indicating the artist to be Gerlinda Quam (Zuni).
